The #1 Way To Use A Virtual Assistant For Your Information Products

As I begin to specialize more in being an information marketing virtual assistant, I’m seeing all sorts of possibilities for business owners, especially coaches of any sort, to create digital products that bring them passive revenue - and helps them get closer to The 4 Hour Work Week lifestyle.

There’s so many easy and fun ways to share your knowledge with the world. But today I decided to pick one that really excites me, something so easy and incredible that I don’t know why people don’t do it every day.

Do you already have a community of newsletter subscribers? These are the people who can actually help you write your product.

So here’s what you’re going to do…

1. Have Your Virtual Assistant Create a Survey About Your Business

This one is so easy. You can use a website like SurveyMonkey.com. Remember, people think in questions so you’re going to get much more of a response if your survey is designed with questions like ‘What’s your biggest question about…?” Your VA can easily customize the survey questions to fit your business.

2. Let Your VA Send a Broadcast Email To Your Community About The Survey

Once the survey is complete, you need people to actually fill it out. Using your email marketing software, your VA can easily create a nicely formatted email with an effective call to action to get people to fill it out.

3. Offer A Free Bonus For Completing The Survey

This is one of those things that’s often overlooked. People don’t like to wake up in the morning and fill out a survey. But if there’s something in it for them like a free bonus of one of your other products or access to a resource that they haven’t had previously, they’re much more likely to take the action you want. Your VA can arrange the delivery of this free bonus to your subscribers.

4. Have Your VA Organize The Survey Answers

Once the answers start coming in, there will probably be many questions that repeat, are irrelevant, and they won’t be organized by any means. To make sure that you get the most out of these questions, your virtual assistant can organize all the answers and questions you get into logical categories.

5. Let Your VA Set Up A Free Bridge Line For You

There’s so many great services like NoCostConference.com and Rondee.com where you can do a series of teleseminars and recorded calls for your business. But if you’ve never worked with these before, they can be confusing. But your virtual assistant can walk you step by step through using these services.

6. Answer All The Questions And Have Your Virtual Assistant Download The Recording

So now that you have an organized list of questions to answer, you have a solid outline for a call. This is the time where you get to shine and demonstrate your expertise in your chosen specialty. This is the reason why you should have a VA in the first place - so you can use your time being the expert, not worrying about tech problems. Once you finish the questions, your VA can download that recording to work with.

7. Turn That Recording Into A Downloadable Information Product

Now that you have a recording, it can easily be transcribed by your virtual assistant. Or your VA can put the recording on a CD or drop the file into a membership site for you. There’s an incredible amount of opportunities for reusing this recording.

8. Have Your VA Organize The Sales Letter and Shopping Cart Integration

Now that you have a product, you need to have a way to sell it. There’s a lot of little steps involved in getting your product up for sale, all of which you shouldn’t be concerned with. Why? Again, your time as the expert is to be participating in activities where you get to show the expert. You’re losing money every time you try to fumble with a new technology or process that isn’t directly related to your expertise.

The best thing about this whole process is that can easily be completed in a week or less. Why not start today?

  1. Great Article Jeff, It’s always good to hear new ways that people can utilize a Virtual Assistant!  As a VA, I find that a lot of prospective clients still don’t realize how much a Virtual Assistant can do for them.

  2. Jeff says:

Patricia - you’re absolutely right! That’s why I think a lot of VAs who develop their niches more will become Strategists and Implementation Specialists. I think this will help more business owners see the value of working with a VA. Great things are on their way as long as we believe in what we do and show just how much value we add.

Thanks so much for your comment!
